I know people probably complained about this since a long time, but how is that there's no gnome-screensaver patch to don't close on keypress?
I've been hicking arround Google and what's this?

User Forum | Electric Sheep I just wrote a patch for gnome-screensaver that adds an option pass on keypress events to the screensaver program, so that sheep-voting will work. ...community.electricsheep.org/taxonomy/term/1/0?page=4 - Cached - Similar

So?
Can any of you explain me HOW is it that I can't find this post on the forum?
Can you explain why did no one heard of this patch?
I mean, the Linux version should be in advence over it's ports, right?
Then, how is it possible that we can still envy anything to those "ports", especially when the fix to THAT bug have apparently already been commited?

things changed
This forum is upgraded recently, and that Google link is no longer valid. Maybe Spot can show us that code, but you still need a different patch for current sheep version.

Still no awnser? I think this is a pretty important issue! I would at least like get some feedback!
unfortunately...
i tried to find how to do this too. unfortunately, gnome-screensaver is rather finicky (i think). so doing this is difficult. there isnt a patch or hack to be found.
xscreensaver has a hack that allows keypresses, so that you can vote. there used to be one, but i cant seem to find a link. :/
obviously linux people are the minorities here. :(
