720p sheep torrent

If anyone has the full 100% of this torrent, can you please seed! I have been trying to download it for quite some time and I'm stuck at 81.3% like quite alot of people! There is only one active seed, but the speed is max= 0.4kb/s. It will take months to finish with that super slow speed.

can some one please seed this

Im trying to download this torrent , but im stuck at 25% i would like the chance to download the full toreent and seed to many others. if any one has this please seed up!

this torrent is available now from me. it can be seeded between 10-5pm MST. while im at my office ill leave the torrent up to seed you.

There are some details on converting / getting things to play here, but spot is correct; they are not particularly compatable with the new version (they do work with the mad old version in the torrent). I have the whole thing seeding now and then (since I posted the beast). If anyone wants them I can send them to you if you have a better method; my email can be found on my website where the torrent is posted.

Seeding now, but how do I enable these sheep??

Just finished downloading and will leave it seeding for a few weeks.

But how can I get these sheep to play? I cleared out my mpeg folder and placed the files in there, but ES still says "no sheep downloaded". I noticed these files are .mpeg, instead of .avi, could that be it? Is there a setting somewhere to enable .mpeg playback? I would have assumed they are all using the same format.

Any ideas? thanks! Matt

that's the old format, i

that's the old format, i would say these sheep are useless now.

Reencode?

Would reencoding them allow ES to recognize and play them? I would think 10GB of sheep video is still 10GB of sheep video; what codec/format do sheep need to be in now?

Thanks, Matt

Any chance you would be willing to share the mencoder options you are using?

I've been trying to render files that electricsheep will play, but have been unsuccessful. I've gone so far as to dig through the client source code to try to figure out what it needs.

The symptons are that the client (when in debug mode) cycles through various sheep, and says "playing X.avi" like it is trying to do something, but it does nothing and immediately goes to the next sheep to try to play.

Here is what I am using, with no luck:

mencoder mf://*.png -mf w=1920:h=1080:fps=30:type=png -ovc x264 -x264encopts pass=1:turbo=2:bframes=3 -oac copy output.avi

The information that mplayer gives about a file created like this matches what gets downloaded from the sheepserver, so I'm pretty much at a loss.

my x264encopts are:

my x264encopts are: crf=24

that's it!  i don't have oac, just leave the audio out.  i do give -mf fps=30 but that shouldn't matter.

Thanks for the info! I've

Thanks for the info!

I've tried every permutation I can think of with your options, and finally landed at this, but still no love

mencoder mf://*.png -mf fps=30 -ovc x264 -x264encopts crf=24 -o output.avi

I must be missing something...it's probably staring me right in the face.

Are there any restrictions on frame size, aspect ratio, number of frames, or something like that in the client? Other than that, I can't find any difference between the video files from the sheep server and the files I'm generating.

The only difference in the client debug output is that when it is working, I get something like this after the "playing X.avi" line, and a pause while it plays:

[avi @ 0xd34730] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5000000

I've been doing 10 frame sheep at 1920x1080, and 100 frame sheep at 640x480, just trying to get this to work without spending too much time rendering. I may just fire off a job to do a 600 frame 1920x1080 and revisit this next week. Short of that (or some magic insight from you), I may need to pull out a debugger and figure out what is going on in the client.

no the client doesn't make a restriction, i don't know what's wrong.

Thanks for the quick replies,

Thanks for the quick replies, I'm sure you're probably really busy.

I'll keep digging into this, and will be sure to post what I find if I figure it out.

Aha!

The problem was that I was using the old client from the gentoo portage tree. I upgraded to the latest SVN version, and all is well.

Thanks again for your time!

Thanks for the link.

Sadly there are absolutely no sources for this, i'm still at 0% downloaded with VUZE...

Can anyone re-share this link ? Thanks in advance.

(i would indeed - of course - have 720p electric sheep patterns rather than the quite ugly nowadays low resolution ones)

Thanks for this, I'm downloading as well. To make these HD ones work do I just put them in the same folder as all of the rest of the sheep?

That didn't work for me, if you got it working please let us know how.
