ES screensaver doesn't work with an nVidia card on Linux

Hello.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 on a system with an nVidia GeForce 6200 card, using official drivers. I've installed electricsheep from the repos, and while it does run well from the command line, it doesn't work as a screensaver – all I get is a black screen.
On the other hand, it does run smoothly on my laptop, which has an ATi graphics card and is also running Ubuntu 10.10.

How can I get it to run under my main PC?

try changing the graphics

try changing the graphics driver in the sheep settings window. see the release notes pinned to the top of this forum.

Didn't work – and I tried

Didn't work – and I tried every possibility. However rebooting and changing the card (another nVidia, same model, more memory) DID work, so perhaps it was a hardware problem?

yes it does

Mine worked superp on ubuntu , but that was at least a year ago so IDK right now.....But I'm just trying to help in any way I even can... I have a gtx 280 nvidia
